Heather's Bridal Shower

My main bridal shower, thrown by the bridesmaids, was held June 5, 2004 at the Sweetwater Tennis clubhouse. Jessica, Stephanie, and Megan did a great job with a little help from my mom and my grandmother. They decorated the place with purple table cloths and balloons, and added daisies everywhere they could. Everything went really well and it seemed like the guests enjoyed themselves!

Here I am starting the buffet. They had rolled sanwiches, chips and salsa, pasta, various types of salad, this really good Asian slaw, and a bunch of other things.

This is me with my childhood friend Betsy. You might recall that she just recently moved into the area from Boston. We went to preschool together.

Jessica, me, and my mom's friend Beth.

My moms friends Melanie and Mrs. Champagne (who's son Kevin used to eat lunch with me everyday back in 9th grade) and Mimi, my grandmother.

Lots more shower guests: (l to r) Sharon (Mom's friend from work), Alice (my coworker), Betsy (childhood friend), Kirsten and her mom Lynda (nextdoor neighbors). Unfortunately, my sister Megan's face was cut off of the left-hand side of the picture.

    My overflowing gift table.

Here was the setup for opening gifts: Stephanie wrote down each gift I received and who it was from, Jessica took the bow from the gift to make my rehersal bouquet, and Megan (not pictured) handed me each gift and took it away once I was done opening it. Very efficient!

My beautiful cake! I loved that they added daisies!

All three generations. My grandmother Mimi, me, Mom, and my sister Megan.

My bridesmaids concocted this sort-of guestbook. Upon entering the shower, each guest took a paper heart and wrote a little piece of marriage/relationship advice on it and signed it. Then they attached them to green pipe cleaners and stuck them in a vase. It was really cute! Here is a picture of me reading my advice outloud.
